CFH is Closing to the Public in December 2011
All regular groups, Tuesday evening healing service and intercessory prayer will cease on December 16th.
What is happening?
• The website and telephone number will continue to operate in January and February of 2012 while the final wind-up is completed.
• Parts of this website will be transferred to other websites so that the resources and history of CFH can continue to bring life and healing.
• Some current members of CFH are creating new contexts to meet and continue healing in Edinburgh. Information regarding these options will be posted here as soon as they are definite; we are also compiling a list of resources for Christian healing in and around Edinburgh available on request from our office by email or phone.
• Intercessors and intercessory prayer are being directed to other similar healing organisations and again will be indicated on this website early in the New Year.
Why is this happening?
This is clearly sad for many of us involved and nurtured by this organisation for so long. There are several reasons for this ending.
Our aim is to support healing ministry in churches and in the past five years there has been a distinct increase in the number of churches offering such ministry. This means that the nature of support needs to be about resourcing people where they are, and sharing information and experience. CFH had become an organisation known and appreciated as a centre to which people came for help and financially this was becoming less viable.
It has been a courageous journey in the past year facing the above information and its consequence – that the current structure of the organisation is no longer able to fulfil the aims and so having come to this point the Biblical precedent becomes clear – dying is a doorway to new life, in order that new shapes and forms can come into being.
This is our story and we are currently involved in treasuring memories from the past and putting together memories and reflections in a short film that will in due course be available for others to use also.
