Memorial to Steve Hatton
Saturday 10 December 2011
Following the death from cancer of Steve Hatton, former administrator at CFH, we decided that planting a grove of trees in his name would be a lovely memorial for someone who loved the outdoors.
The Memorial Grove of sixty trees is being planted by Trees for Life, a charity who is working to restore the Caledonian Forest in the Highlands of Scotland. A page about Steve has been created and can be viewed at the following link:
You can always add trees to Steve’s grove by using the button “Make a donation to this grove” on the bottom of the page.
The trees will be planted in spring 2012 on Dundreggan, a 10,000 acre estate recently purchased by Trees for Life for forest restoration.

Discussion in the Festival of Spirituality at St John’s Edinburgh
Saturday 20 August 12.30 – 1.30pm
Recent centuries have seen a drift towards literalism, fundamentalism and scientism in western culture. Does this ‘left brain chauvinism’ make us dangerously unaware of all that the right brain can offer – big picture, meaning, metaphor, spirituality. Iain McGilchrist, psychiatrist and writer explores these issues with Dr Joe Bouch, consultant psychiatrist and editor of Advances in Psychiatric Treatment and CFH Chairman John Munro, philosophy of science graduate, retired Church of Scotland minister and member of the Scottish Institute of Human Relations.
