We support and encourage churches in developing and maintaining healing ministry by visits, workshops, leaflets and our annual Conference at Carberry near Musselburgh. We would be happy to discuss how we might support your church in healing work and/or put you in touch with healing ministries local to you
Answering your questions
Outreach has been part of our vision over the years. Would your church welcome a visit? If you are asking questions like these, we can help:
- What would it mean for our congregation to start "healing the sick"?
- How would we run a healing service?
- What would a healing group do?
- Does everyone have a healing gift?
- Would we "lay on hands"?
- Do we need training?
- Where do we get help?
- How can we organise intercessory prayer and involve others in the church?
We produce a series of leaflets which answer most of the questions people ask.
We have a group of members who are willing to come and visit and show the different possible ways of offering healing ministry.
Workshops
We can run workshops for half a day; a whole day or a weekend, using any combination of the different forms of healing prayer expressed in the above leaflets adapted to local needs or requirements. We can assist or lead services of worship, either as part of the normal Sunday worship or as special healing services.
We appreciate when workshops can be offered to several different churches in a locality because that reflects the development of healing ministry, which has normally been ecumenical, bringing healing across denominations.
In addition to work in this way encourages local co-operation, nurturing and support.
